Biography

Rebecca joined The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in June of 2005. As a conservation associate, Rebecca oversees farmer and partner outreach for the Michigan soil health and nutrients team and supports the development and tracking of proposals, project information and strategic planning. She helps the team stay on track, meet deadlines and complete deliverables.

Prior to joining TNC, Rebecca earned a bachelor’s in forestry conservation and a master’s in natural resource-based parks and recreation at Michigan State University. Her master’s project explored the environmental and social impacts of increased fishing pressure on the main stem of the Pere Marquette River. She also served for over nine years in the U.S. Army Reserve, first as a medic, and later as a commissioned officer in the Medical Service Corps. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family. They stay busy with cheer, theater and their animals. Her favorite things to do include traveling, hiking and camping. Becky also volunteers with Clinton County 4H and serves on the board of The Voice for Clinton County’s Children.
