Biography

As a member of the Sagebrush Sea Program, Jessie collaborates with a team of scientists to test and to scale up innovative approaches to sage-steppe restoration. She is also exploring mesic and aquatic restoration opportunities in eastern Oregon.

Prior to TNC, Jessie managed a rustic mountain lodge in New Hampshire, scaled up a local food system in Vermont, and worked on sage-steppe restoration as a field biologist for the Lakeview BLM. She earned her B.A. in linguistics at Dartmouth College, and an M.S. in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont's Field Naturalist Program. Jessie lives in Baker City, OR.
