Biography

As director of public affairs, Jeremy is responsible for TNC Maine’s communications, government relations and business engagement initiatives. Collaborating with staff across the organization, he helps develop the Maine chapter’s public messages, stories, strategic partnerships and policy positions, and he leads the Public Affairs team’s efforts to deliver them in creative and compelling ways.

Prior to joining TNC in 2019, Jeremy served as director of communications & marketing at Maine Audubon, director of creative design at Bates College and digital communications manager at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) in Washington, DC. He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wesleyan University, and is certified in user experience (UX) by the Nielsen Norman Group.

Jeremy has worked in the public, private and nonprofit sectors and federal, state, and local government. He is a former selectman in the Town of Bowdoinham, where he lives with his wife Sally, two children and two dogs. In his free time, he enjoys reading and writing, tromping through the woods, ice fishing and making maple syrup.
