Biography
Abby Scott in joined TNC Wyoming in 2018 and is based in Cody, Wyoming.Prior to coming to TNC, Abby worked for the Western Governors’ Association and former Wyoming Governor Matt Mead’s office on species conservation policy. Abby spent 10 years at the University of Wyoming (UW), earning a B.S. in Economics and Environment and Natural Resources and an M.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics, and was a staff member of both the UW School of Energy Resources and the Ruckelshaus Institute of Environment and Natural Resources. In her capacity at TNC, Abby directs Wyoming’s statewide migration program. She’s passionate about wildlife conservation. Abby was raised in Cody, Wyoming, and is happy to have returned to her hometown to conserve such a unique and wild landscape.
She and her husband Kelby have two young boys, Beau and Bradley, and a Great Pyrenees named Walter. They take advantage of all Northwest Wyoming has to offer – fishing, camping, hiking and Yellowstone National Park. Abby’s hobbies include running, photography, gardening and piano.
