Biography
Annapurna brings three decades of experience in developing and executing successful global sustainability and climate change strategies, building strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders, and securing funds for conservation priorities.
The principal focus of her work has been to mainstream sustainable development and practices among varied stakeholders including international and Indian organisations, government departments, NGOs, and the private sector with particular application to the diverse problems of India and emerging economies.
She has significantly contributed to creating synergy and encouraging businesses to mainstream sustainability in their operations especially in Government departments and the Business sector. One such important contribution is the creation of a thought leadership platform of global repute in India addressing the climate vulnerability of emerging economies.
As TNC India's Managing Director she leads the India team towards global conservation impact, supporting and leveraging the vital work of the Conservancy across the program.
Annapurna has a Bachelor of Science in physics, chemistry, and maths, an MBA; and a Ph.D. in Social Responsibility from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
She commenced working with TNC in 2021 and will be based in the New Delhi office.
