Biography

Emily Myron is the senior policy manager for The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts. Since joining TNC in 2018, she has worked with state and federal legislators, agencies and NGO partners to advance conservation and climate funding and policy. She leads efforts to increase funding and incentives for conservation and restoration; to create policy, funding and programs to advance natural climate solutions; and to bring federal dollars to Massachusetts. 

Emily also serves on the Land Use and Nature-based Solutions Work Group of the Global Warming Solutions Act Implementation Advisory Committee (Massachusetts’ climate council) and represents New England policy interests in Appalachian-scale regional efforts. In addition to her work at TNC, Emily is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition.

Before joining TNC, Emily worked at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy managing the International Land Conservation Network. She also worked at the Chesapeake Conservancy, where she led policy and community-based conservation initiatives, and the National Park Service, where she focused on regional collaboration across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. 

Emily holds a Master of Environmental Management degree in Ecosystem Science and Conservation from Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment, a degree in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland and an executive education certificate in conservation finance.
