Biography
Nizán Guanaes is the chairman of Grupo ABC. Grupo ABC is a Brazilian company comprised of 13 companies specializing in advertising, marketing services, content, and entertainment.
In only ten years, Grupo ABC has become the biggest communication group in Latin America. Today the group has more than 150 clients and 1,600 employees who work at branches located in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, New York, and San Francisco.
Nizán was named one of the five most influential Brazilian entrepreneurs by the Financial Times. He is also among the 21 most influential media and marketing professionals according to Advertising Age. He was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year prize during the Ernst & Young Brazil awards in 2008 and Communication Entrepreneur of the Year by IstoÉ magazine in 2009. Nizán is not only an entrepreneur and an advertising professional, but he is also very engaged in social causes: Goodwill ambassador at UNESCO and a member of UNAIDS. He also plays an active role as a member of Clinton Global Initiative, the World Economic Forum, Endeavor, The Women in the World Foundation and the Latin America Conservation Council.
