To support women's roles in conservation, The Nature Conservancy (TNC) uses learning exchanges for women to learn from one another and share their stories. Most women identify education opportunities as vital to improving their involvement in managing their resources.
As governments, businesses and communities all around the world are coming to recognise, we need to create more space for women to foster their ideas, be brave, make mistakes and be leaders in their fields.
TNC has held several learning exchanges, and plans for more, bringing women from remote locations all across Asia Pacific to join voices.
To discuss gender and climate change adaptation, we brought together women from from Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, Yap, Palau, The Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, the United States, and England for a workshop in Palau.
