StigmaFree

StigmaFree is 1 out of 9 ERGs at TNC and is a resource for staff with disabilities and/or mental illness. It is also open to allies and anyone with a loved one that is facing challenges. StigmaFree’s purpose is to foster a culture of compassion at TNC that embraces the value that people of all abilities bring to the organization. Despite crossing all racial, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other identity group boundaries, disability and mental illness are too often overlooked within the diversity conversation.

Their goal is to have staff with disabilities and mental illness feel supported and empowered by their supervisors and co-workers. They help TNC build a globally diverse and inclusive workforce that truly leverages differences, in support of achieving our mission!

Quote: Sarah Hagen

I have always seen my autism as a strength, and I want to help others embrace neurological diversity in the workplace, feel empowered to speak up about their needs, and understand that no one is “lesser”.
